Homer’s Iliad is the HBO series of the classics – the greatest story of heroism, betrayal and war. The world’s oldest ‘performed story’ is thrillingly brought to life by Anglo-Greek Australian actor and playwright William Zappa in this new rhythmic adaptation – complete with episode recaps – performed by four actors and live percussion by Michael Askill and an oud score. 

With contemporary language, Zappa breathes life into the wit and wrath of the gods, updating Homer’s forensic exploration of the battlefields of Troy.

Presented in one day, or in three parts over three nights, audiences can book individual sessions or settle in for a full day to binge-watch this thrillingly immediate staging of a seminal statement on humanity.
